Utah is known for its epic mountain scenery, and the mountains are a major part of life in this beautiful state. If you dream of saying “I do” in the mountains, I’ve got you covered. There are so many beautiful venues nestled in the peaks that you should consider for your mountain wedding. From rustic barns to cozy restaurants to modern event spaces, you’re sure to find the perfect mountain venue for you here.

Snowbird

📍 Location: Little Cottonwood Canyon, UT

The Summit at Snowbird is guaranteed to provide you and your guests with an unforgettable wedding experience. This large event space is located on the mountain at 11,000 feet. You and your guests will reach The Summit by aerial tram. Large open-air terraces and floor to ceiling windows provide expansive views of the surrounding mountain vistas. The Summit can accommodate up to 200 guests.

The Golden Cliff is a two story indoor space with floor to ceiling windows providing views of the mountains and the tram. Spring, Summer, and Fall weddings at the Golden Cliff will have the option of celebrating outdoors on the adjoining Magpie Terrace. Magpie Terrace overlooks the beautifully wooded mountainside. There’s room for 170 guests on the Terrace and up to 220 guests in the Golden Cliff.

The Primrose is an indoor ballroom with large windows and space for up to 200 guests. Just outside you’ll find a grassy amphitheatre tucked in among the evergreens. It’s a perfect outdoor space for a wooded ceremony and can seat up to 200 guests.

At the Terrace, you can ride the Chickadee chairlift up to your reception in an open-air-tent surrounded by wide grassy areas and views of the canyon. There’s ample room for up to 600 guests. Because of weather considerations, this venue option is available June through August.

The Aerie is the perfect venue for those who love to get up above it all. It’s situated at the top of the Cliff Lodge. Large windows and a rooftop deck offer epic views of the canyon and surrounding mountains. The sunsets up here are incredible! There’s room for 60 guests on the balcony and 100 guests inside. The space feels light and airy, with warm wood accents and modern styling.

Deer Valley Resort

📍 Location: Park City, UT

Deer Valley delivers the ultimate in mountain luxury. With a wide selection of venues and lodges on the resort property, Deer Valley has a lot to offer.

Deer Valley Resort offers four on-mountain wedding venues. They all have a rustic atmosphere and warm touches like wooden beams, stone slab fireplaces, and antique furniture. Cushing’s Cabin is located on top of Flagstaff Mountain at 9,100 feet. It’s accessible via shuttle or ski lift. There’s room for 80 guests, with additional space outside. Snow Park Lodge is at the base of Deer Valley Resort and offers sprawling indoor and outdoor spaces that can host up to 220 guests. Silver Lake Lodge is a mid-mountain property with beautiful scenery and a secluded feel. There are expansive wooden decks facing the mountains, as well as large indoor spaces with floor-to-ceiling windows that allow you to take in the views year-round. Empire Canyon Lodge can host 300 guests in style. The lodge is nestled up against the mountains and features lofty indoor spaces and large windows. In the winter, you can make the huge fireplaces part of your dining experience by taking advantage of Deer Valley’s Fireside Dining. It’s a unique culinary experience inspired by the European Alps. Four courses will be prepared and served from the fireside, including raclette, where large wheels of cheese are melted by the fire onto plates of potatoes and charcuterie. Yum!

Park City Mountain Resort

With their four unique wedding venues, unbeatable views, and wonderful service, it’s no surprise Park City Resort is a mountain wedding mainstay. Choose between venues intimate and large, isolated or close to the base. Each of their spaces offer rustic charm and a sense of connection to the mountain. Most are accessed via chairlift or tram, which adds a fun experience into the mix. The dedicated wedding team at Park City Resort will work with you every step of the way to help you find the perfect venue, plan a delicious menu, and bring your wedding vision to life.

Legacy Lodge is located in the heart of the Park City base area, right around the corner from historic Main Street. It’s a classic ski lodge with modern charm. There are three separate spaces at Legacy Lodge, which you can customize and combine to welcome up to 300 guests. Summer ceremonies can be held at Alpine Meadows, a short and beautiful ride up Payday Lift. Guests will exit the lift, stroll down a path through the aspen trees to a large open patio area set for your ceremony. There, they’ll be able to watch you exchange vows against a stunning mountain backdrop. After the ceremony, everyone will be able to ride the Alpine Slide back down the mountain to Legacy Lodge. It’s a fun experience that all your guests are sure to remember!

A scenic ride up the Orange Bubble Express Lift, Lookout Cabin is an intimate venue for year round mountain weddings. The rustic cabin can accommodate up to 80 guests. There’s a cozy indoor space and a large deck with amazing 360 degree views of the surrounding mountain peaks. The atmosphere at Lookout Cabin is so relaxing. After saying “I do”, you can dine with your guests in the cabin, gather around the fire pits on the deck to watch the sun set over the peaks, then dance the night away under the bistro lights.

Red Pine Lodge is the largest of Park City Mountain Resort’s wedding venues. Here you can host up to 450 guests and feel like you’ve got the mountain to yourselves. Red Pine Lodge is accessible via an enclosed gondola cabin, which makes it comfortable and easy to access for guests who might not feel comfortable with their feet dangling from a chairlift. The lodge itself is large and rustic. There are two levels as well as an outdoor patio, which can be customized to your day. There are gently sloping lawns, aspen, pine, and dramatic peaks all around to add to the beauty and mountain atmosphere.

Mid-Mountain Lodge is Park City’s elegant and rustic summer lodge. The star of the space is the 6,000 square foot two-tiered deck, which allows you to take in the surrounding views and enjoy the cool summer breezes coming off the mountains. Indoors, there are two levels of event spaces that can seat up to 150 guests. Mid-Mountain lodge is secluded and private, allowing you to share your big day with your guests in perfect peace.

Louland Falls

📍 Location: Parley's Canyon, UT

Louland Falls offers stunning views down Parley’s Canyon. The isolated setting on private land in the canyon makes it feel remote and peaceful, but it is located just a few miles from Salt Lake City. The property is perched on the south side of the canyon and takes advantage of the natural views and local red rock. There is an open lawn flanked by cliffs with a ceremony arbor backed by mountain peaks that make for a scenic backdrop, a large stone patio dominated by a waterfall, and an indoor pavilion that can accommodate your festivities in case of inclement weather. Meandering steps wander up a small gully where a river cascades through the woods and under stone bridges. With all this natural beauty and great amenities, Louland Falls perfectly takes advantage of Utah’s mountain scenery to set the scene for your wedding.

Millcreek Inn

📍 Location: Millcreek Canyon, UT

Just three miles up Millcreek Canyon, Millcreek Inn is a cozy cottage built in the 1950’s with a large flagstone patio that’s perfect for weddings. The area is very easily accessible, but feels secluded and private. Here you can get married among huge old growth pine trees with a view of the cliffs. A stream runs through the canyon, adding to the rustic natural scenery.

Millcreek Inn has been specializing in weddings for over 20 years, and they always deliver a flawless experience. You’ll find everything you need to get away into nature with your guests without sacrificing any amenities. Their in-house chef will work with you to create a menu that will delight everyone, and their wedding coordinator will make sure everything goes smoothly. The intimate indoor dining rooms can host weddings year round, with rustic touches of wood and cozy fireplaces. In inclement weather, a tent can be added to extend the indoor spaces and make use of the patio. The outdoor space is surrounded by trees and hung with bistro lights, creating an atmosphere that is elegant yet woodsy. It’s the perfect place for a mountain wedding!

Snowbasin

📍 Location: Huntsville, UT

For stunning mountain views in a serene setting, easy access, wonderful service, and beautiful facilities, look no further than Snowbasin Resort. This is one of my favorite mountain wedding venues because the scenery is beautiful and everything about the venue feels both effortless and elegant. 

If you’re based in the Salt Lake, Provo, or Park City area, Snowbasin is a bit more of a drive than the other mountain spots I’m recommending, but I promise this venue is worth it. Snowbasin feels far away from the city hubbub, the drive up to the resort offers gorgeous views, and the resort itself feels comfortable and welcoming. Also, parking is the easiest of any ski resort venue I’ve worked at.

Snowbasin can host weddings year round in two different venues. Both have outdoor and indoor spaces where you can celebrate no matter what the weather is like. 

Earl’s Lodge is at the foot of the slopes, just a few steps from the parking area. It blends rustic charm and elegance perfectly. The architecture features high ceilings with wooden beams, cozy fireplaces, and large windows looking out to the mountains. There’s also a beautiful curved staircase leading down to the lower level. There are two large connected dining areas which open to a huge patio and grassy lawn. There’s also a smaller banquet room for indoor ceremonies or more intimate gatherings.

Needles Lodge is on the mountain at 8700 feet. Board Needles Gondola for a scenic ride up to the lodge. It’s surrounded by rocky cliffs and 360 degree views of the mountains. There is a large indoor space with huge windows, as well as a glassed-in patio where you can enjoy the outdoors protected from the wind and elements. The indoor areas of Needles Lodge are warm and welcoming, with wooden beams and fireplaces.

Log Haven

📍 Location: Millcreek Canyon, UT

Nestled on private wooded land in Millcreek Canyon, Log Haven is a romantic and nationally acclaimed restaurant that hosts weddings large and small. There are pine and aspen forests, blooming wildflowers, a pristine lake, a meadow, and several waterfalls. The scenery is spectacular, the service is impeccable, and the food is amazing. 

Choose between a wedding in the grassy meadow with a serene lake as a backdrop, a large terraced deck that overhangs the canyon and offers beautiful views, a stone patio with a small cascade, or the cozy dining space inside the large log cabin.

In addition to the rustic scenery and atmosphere, Log Haven’s menu offerings are a huge draw. Their Chef is the recipient of many national awards and will customize a feast for your big day that is sure to be memorable. With all these wonderful features, Log Haven should definitely be on your list of mountain wedding venues to consider.

Timber Moose Lodge

📍 Location: Heber, UT

A large private log cabin in the Timber Lakes east of Heber, Timber Moose Lodge is a stunning and intimate setting for a mountain wedding. When you hold your wedding at Timber Moose, you get the entire property to yourself for multiple days. It’s a true mountain getaway! 

The site can accommodate 60 overnight guests in comfort and up to 100 guests for the wedding day. The interior is rustic and charming with exposed logs and stone fireplaces. The property overlooks beautiful mountain scenery and a large lake. Several sprawling decks take advantage of the views and are perfect for outdoor ceremonies and receptions.

There’s plenty of room to celebrate inside or outdoors with no shortage of amenities. The lodge itself is 26,000 square feet with 13 bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, 7 fireplaces, a heated indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna. Outside, there are nearly 10,000 square feet of balconies and decks, along with a huge tire swing, basketball court, lawn, and walking paths that traverse the 12 acre property.

If you’re looking for a space where you can soak in the beautiful Utah mountains and host all your wedding guests in style, Timber Moose Lodge is an amazing choice.

Blue Sky

📍 Location: Coalville, UT

The Lodge at Blue Sky is set against a gorgeous and varied backdrop of mountain peaks, wooded hills, and high mountain meadows. With their understated elegance and deep connection to the 3,500 acres of surrounding nature, you’re sure to find your dream wedding venue among the beautiful event spaces at Blue Sky.

The Arena is a large barn with weathered blue paint and a tin roof. Inside, the barn offers 8,000 square feet of flexible space. There is a full catering kitchen, rustic floors and walls made from reclaimed wood, and plenty of room to make the space your own.

The Arena’s large barn doors open to The Terrace. It’s a large outdoor patio space with a gas grill, fire pit, and epic views of the surrounding peaks. The Terrace is perfect for intimate events, or as a way to bring your Arena party outdoors. Many couples opt to hold their ceremony on the Terrace and their reception in the Arena.

Also on the property are the Tavern, a converted 1800’s cabin that is now a western saloon, High West whiskey distillery, and The Lodge at Blue Sky with 46 luxurious rooms and suites, an iconic wellness center, and several exceptional restaurants.

Silver Fork Lodge

📍 Location: Big Cottonwood Canyon, UT

Located in beautiful Big Cottonwood Canyon, Silver Fork Lodge is a local favorite for cozy accommodations and delicious food. It’s a rustic log cabin and lodge with warm wood, whimsical decor, and stone fireplaces. 

The upper levels are divided between a restaurant and a small lodge with seven guestrooms. Downstairs, you’ll find the event space. There is a large indoor banquet area that flows out to a covered patio, outside terrace, and lower lawn. There’s room for 250 guests in the banquet space, or 350 if you rent out the restaurant as well.

The terrace and lawn are surrounded by aspen and pine trees and views of the canyon. This space has everything you need for a charming and rustic wedding in the mountains.
