Bridal Sessions
A bridal or formal session is the time to get dolled up and take your wedding gown out for a spin before the wedding. The shoot can be all about you, or include a first look and portraits with your fiancé too. Formal sessions are wonderful because you'll be able to get tons of great photos without worrying about guests waiting for you. We can also take advantage of epic locations we wouldn't be able to squeeze in on the wedding day.
Setting the Tone
Location, location, location. Whether you've been dreaming of mountain peaks, open fields, elegant buildings, or desert dunes for your bridal session, I've got you covered. I'm happy to send over suggestions on beautiful locations for the shoot.
First Look Formals
Some couples prefer that their first glimpse of each other in their wedding clothes be at the ceremony. But if you don’t mind doing an early reveal, including your fiancé in the formal portraits is a great idea. This allows you to have a private moment to yourselves to soak up the fact that you're getting married. It also takes some pressure off of you on the wedding day so you can focus on enjoying the party when the big day comes.
Trial Run
Your bridal session is a great time to do a trial run with your hair & makeup artist, so be sure to coordinate with them when you're scheduling your shoot. That way you can test your style out in the wild and see if you want to make any adjustments before the wedding. You can also ask your florist to make you a bridal bouquet for the session, but flowers aren't a must for the shoot.

The earlier you schedule your session, the more dates are available! Bridals should ideally be taken two to four weeks before the wedding. We can work on a tighter timeline if your situation requires it, but giving ourselves a couple of weeks will allow ample time for editing and printing. Many brides plan to have their photos taken as soon as they receive their dress from the final fitting.
